On the 26th and 27th of February, London’s Excel Arena hosted a huge trade fair for data centre service providers, featuring some pretty big names coming together under one roof to display their products and services. I was approached by Crown Oil, one of the exhibitors at the fair promoting their oil filtering, oil cleaning and free fuel testing services, to perform as an attraction for their stand. Needless to say, it sounded like fun and so it was an opportunity that I eagerly took up!
Their thinking was that where most other exhibitors simply had small free gifts to give away at their stands such as pens and stress balls, they could approach the matter with a little more colour. I was hired to perform my close up magic to prospective clients to really give them an amazing and memorable experience with Crown Oil rather than a disposable gift giveaway they’d soon do away with.
The arena itself is an impressive venue located on the Docklands, and even if you’ve not heard of it you probably saw it on your TV when it was used to host a host of sports for the London 2012 Olympics. It was great to be down there!
